High Holy Days

We draw from many different sources to create our special celebration of these holidays. The material includes poetry, traditional prayer, student musicians, and more. Oberlin Hillel offers annual student-led High Holiday festivities including:

Rosh Hashana

Traditional Erev Rosh Hashanah and first-day Rosh Hashanah services, a Rosh Hashanah lunch, a Tashlich service, a spiritual & reflective second-day service.

Yom Kippur

Kol Nidre service, full day of services on Yom Kippur, a reflective text study, a fasting space, break fast dinner. The College/Conservatory give all students a day off for Yom Kippur.
