Each Friday, in Kosher Halal Co-op (located at 2 S. Professor St.) Oberlin Hillel offers Shabbat services and a Shabbat meal to the larger Oberlin community.
At 5:30, students can join Rabbi Megan for Jewish Meditation in the Kosher Halal Co-op Coexistence Space. At 6pm, Kabbalat Shabbat services begin in the main dining room. Services are generally student-led, and range from Reform camp-style to traditional egalitarian.
At 7:00 PM, a Shabbat meal is offered to the entire campus. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are always provided. Both the service and dinner are open to the entire community regardless of tradition, faith or religious knowledge.
