Shabbat

Each Friday, Oberlin Hillel offers Shabbat services and a Shabbat meal to the larger Oberlin community.

At 5:30, students can join Oberlin Hillel in Talcott Hall’s Kosher Kitchen for Kabbalat Shabbat services. Services are generally student-led, and range from Reform camp-style to traditional egalitarian.

At 7:00 PM, a Shabbat meal is offered to the entire campus. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are always provided. Both the service and dinner are open to the entire community regardless of tradition, faith or religious knowledge.
